On 22 May 2014 Safe from Harm ran an information sharing forum titled "Who Can Help?"
The forum was targeted at workers in the region who might come into contact with people experiencing family violence and provided them with information about family violence support services in the area.
Representatives from twelve different agencies presented at the forum. These agencies included:-
- Safe From Harm
- New Hope Foundation
- CASA House
- coHealth
- Victims Assistance and Counselling Program
- Women’s Domestic Violence Crisis Service
- Victoria Police
- Women’s Health West
- InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence
- Spectrum
- Western Child First
- Moonee Valley City Council – Family Services
The event was quite successful with a large number of attendees. We also received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees who stated that the event helped them learn about appropriate services in their area and they felt more equipped to make appropriate referrals for their clients.
